Mountain Club Digs

The artist collective Mountain Club mounted an expedition into one of the temporate rainforests of British Columbia, Canada with the expectation to harvest clay from its creekbeds.  1000lbs of natural clay were brought back to Vancouver, BC and and

placed on the gallery floor of The International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art (Centre A).  A video of the dig was made to accompany the exhibition Drinking Down the Earth at Centre A.  This project was funded by the Canada Council for the Arts.
